Cooperative Programming
Government and TEF
Tibetan Ecology Foundation will work
with local Tibetan government authorities to set up natural protection areas
for wildlife and prevent illegal mining. We will also encourage Tibetan
People's Representatives at the national, provincial and prefecture levels
to improve and enforce environmental laws.
Private organizations and TEF
China West Development is undertaking the
industrialization of Tibet on a huge scale. Therefore TEF will promote
environmental awareness at large and small factories and mining companies in
Tibetan areas. We will work to educate Chinese and Tibetan labors how
concern for the environment can be an important part of the industrial
revolution in Tibet.
Exchange Programs
An international-level exchange program
will teach Tibetans how other countries have solved ecological problems
similar to our own. A national-level program will help Tibetans from each
province learn from the successes of those in other provinces. TEF will
organize and holds exchange workshops to facilitate this kind of exchange.
TEF at School
TEF would like to work with
universities to help them add ecological -based curricula to educate the
young Chinese and Tibetans who will be the future of the Tibetan plateau.
Monasteries-TEF

efforts in preserving Tibetan culture. TEF will cooperative with monks and
lamas to help them provide a modern environmental education.
